Can the FM Server and the FM Pro be” Middle East version ” ?
(I use to buy the Filemaker software from Winsoft )

HOnza February 1, 2012 at 2:05 pm

Yes, actually, we have tested FM Bench with US, CE, and CZ versions, but used our experience with Czech language to make it as language-independent as possible.

FMBench seems like a really good deal for FM optimization, but where is the website about the product more in depth? I remember there was one but dont see it any more.

HOnza February 1, 2012 at 2:08 pm

Thank you. Product website is being prepared and will be released after our time-limited special offer for early adopters is over.
The introductory videos are still available at http://fmbench.com/marvelous

Hallo Honza

I wanted to buy the 24U FM Bench, but I cannot click any red button in your video. Do you have a direct link?

Best regards,

Paul Merki, Light + Byte, Switzerland

HOnza February 1, 2012 at 2:11 pm

Thank you, Paul!
The purchase button should appear automatically when the video playback reaches the pricing information. If it does not appear, please feel free to use this link: http://fmbench.com/buynow
I will also appreciate if you let me know your browser/operating system version, so that we can test it out and find out how to fix it. Thanks

Mike February 1, 2012 at 7:36 pm

Disappointing. I tried using the discount codes within 10 minutes of the launch and the codes did not work. Apparently, you fixed it during the day and ALL the codes are gone.. I guess it does NOT pay to be an early adopter……

HOnza February 2, 2012 at 2:08 pm

MIke, I am sorry you had troubles with the discount coupons. We did not make any changes since we activated them yesterday early in the morning. I have contacted you directly by e-mail and I am sure we’ll find a suitable resolution together. Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it.

Mike February 2, 2012 at 6:31 pm

Thanks HOnza – I appreciate your professionalism and all is good now!

Dick Honing February 2, 2012 at 12:21 am

Hi Honza,

can you please send me a link to a trial version ? I’d like to try before I buy :-)

Thanks in advance and best regards – Dick

HOnza February 2, 2012 at 4:48 am

Hi Dick, nice to see your comment. We do not have a free trial version at this time, but if you buy it, try it, and let us know within 30 days that you do not like it, we will give you your money back.

Brent Hedden February 2, 2012 at 12:22 pm

I was Beta testing this product, and I can vouch for this! This beta didn’t even include the bottleneck finder, which by the looks of things is going to be the *real* useful part of this product. The asking price is worth it just for the plugin, let alone all of the useful programming HOnza and his team have done.

Sure, you can create something similar to this by yourself (and I’ve tried!), but this is a very elegant solution that is a real value when compared to your development time and user satisfaction.

HOnza February 2, 2012 at 2:19 pm

Thanks for your kind words and proof of the concept, Brent. Actually, when I first thought of this product I thought it would be really easy to create. Then we ended up having a team of 18 people working on it and spending the total of over 2,500 logged (and many not logged) hours to make it what it is now. And I am sure it will bring a great value to every developer. The success we have achieved with it in our recent optimization (that doubled speed after only 17 hours of work) is only beginning. I am so excited to see the principles we have put into the product really work and give results. And I honestly look forward to seeing you all having the same success with your optimizations.

Ibrahim Bittar February 3, 2012 at 9:31 am

Hi HOnza

Where is the home page?
Is there a demo version?

HOnza February 3, 2012 at 1:38 pm

Hi Ibrahim, the FM Bench product website is being prepared and will be released after our time-limited special offer for early adopters expires next Wednesday at midnight.
We do not have a free trial version at this time, but we have a full unconditional 30 days money back guarantee. So if you buy it, try it, and let us know within 30 days that you do not like it, we will give you your money back.
I hope this help.

Matthew Greger February 4, 2012 at 2:35 pm

Hi HOnza, I look forward to working with your product. Optimizing is an art and you created a tool that should really help. We all take shortcuts at time in order to get coding done and sometimes this can be one of the main causes for bogging down a solution. I look forward to your product helping me find those areas that need tuning.
I was one of the first to purchase and even got 70% off! Unbelievable. Thanks!

HOnza February 8, 2012 at 8:11 am

We have just made the FM Bench How-To Guides page available at http://FMBench.com/howto
There are currently 4 how-to videos about FM Bench Detective already published, including the videos showing how to insert the FM Bench measuring script steps into your solution much faster with the help of FM Bench Assistants.
More videos will be added later today and we’ll keep adding additional videos to this page as we finish them.
I hope this will give you even better overview of FM Bench and its abilities.

Marcus Wilson February 8, 2012 at 8:47 pm

THe How-To guides are great, thank you for the update!, I have logs being generated, FM Analyzer installed, and data ready for review. Now it’s over to me to get optimising!! thanks for your efforts! (and thanks for the 20% prompt discount was a super bonus )

Tom McIntosh May 17, 2012 at 8:16 pm

Trying to watch the FM Tuning Videos but they keep stopping part way thru and have to be restarted.

HOnza May 17, 2012 at 10:08 pm

Hi Tom, which exactly videos are you having the issue with?
